I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor, EMDR Trained Clinician, and Certified Family Trauma Professional. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, family and relationship issues, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. I have a special interest in the use of philosophy to inform the therapeutic process and draw on existential perspectives to support individuals in the development of personal meaning and value for their lives. Through my personal, academic, and professional experience I believe that great change is possible and work with clients toward the development of a healthier sense of self, improved relationships, and better quality of life.
I received my B.A. in Philosophy from George Mason University where I also completed my Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and was twice recognized with the Outstanding Master of Social Work Award. I have worked in numerous settings, including community mental health, for-profit, and non-profit organizations. In addition to training in EMDR I have completed trainings in DBT, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
See below to learn more about speaking and educational opportunities I am proud to be a part of.
