Comprehensive Family Assessment & Therapy
Comprehensive and coordinated care
when a loved one is struggling.
Most families are not equipped to handle the complex challenges that arise when someone they love is struggling. We help families address addiction, trauma, mental illness, and behavioral concerns so they can take the best steps in supporting their loved one and getting them the treatment and care they need. Through a structured, clinical approach, we provide a roadmap to help people get the best care when it matters most.
The Process
What to Expect
Coordinated Initial Meetings
We identify problems and prioritize what needs to be addressed and where to direct energy and resources. We begin to map a strategy and steps to get people what they need. This may include individual work, family sessions, and connection to or coordination with psychiatrists and treatment centers.
Coordinated Care
Different family members may work with different clinicians simultaneously. We support coordinated care that is working toward common goals and under one shared approach. This effort maximizes the efficacy and efficiency of your care.
Long-Term Support
Maintaining connection helps initial efforts stay on course. Often people will respond and act when a crisis occurs, and once the crisis is over people step away. We encourage longer-term connection that tapers down over time to reduce the risk of relapse and regression.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked
It's a structured clinical evaluation of the whole family system when one member is struggling with substance use, mental illness, or behavioral concerns. We meet with each member individually and together, identify what's actually happening, and deliver a written roadmap with clear next steps for both the struggling person and the family.
Ideally yes, but not always. We often work with families where the affected person isn't ready to engage. The assessment still gives the rest of the family clarity, education, and a plan — and that often becomes what eventually helps the struggling person seek care too.
Our assessment is collaborative, clinical, and informational. It is designed to help the whole system develop a clearer understanding of what is happening and identify effective paths forward. We will also support intervention planning when that is the right next step.
After the assessment, you receive a clinical summary of what we observed, education on the specific issues at play, recommended next steps for the affected person (treatment, ongoing therapy, level of care), and specific guidance for each family member on how to support effectively without burning out.
Yes — coordination is one of our specialty areas. We work alongside psychiatrists, treatment centers, primary care physicians, and other clinicians to make sure everyone is moving toward shared goals under a coherent approach.
